Daft Punk will Appear in Tron Legacy

daft_punk_tron_suitsSo, we’ve known for a while now that Daft Punk will be providing the score for Tron Legacy, and lets be honest, who better for the job than a couple of guys only ever seen live wearing robot costumes? But what we didn’t know is that they’ll also be appearing in the film as well as writing the soundtrack. During an interview with MTV News one of the film’s stars Olivia Wilde revealed they would be making an appearance.

She said: “They were in the movie” before explaining that studio Disney want the dance music legends to help promote the movie.

Wilde explained: “There’s some ideas in the works about how to incorporate them into a Comic-Con event.”

OK so it’s pretty vague, and I imagine it won’t be big roles, just cameos, but exciting news none the less. Here’s hoping they’ll be wearing the Tron Suits (pictured) they donned for the encore of their Alive tour in 2007. Which was (possibly) one of the best days of my life.
